Bagaimana memanfaatkan fasilitas akses email di ponsel HTC Desire? 
Berikut ini beberapa panduan bagi Anda. 

Setup akun 

Layar home di ponsel HTC Desire menyediakan pintasan ke Google Mail (Gmail). 
Untuk setup akun Gmail, pilih opsi Google Account. Jika Anda belum punya akun di Google, buat akun langsung dari ponsel Anda. Dan jika Anda sudah punya akun, berarti Anda tinggal perlu sign in dan mulai setup. 
Untuk setup akun Gmail tanpa menggunakan setup manager, pilih aplikasi di menu dengan mengetuk tombol panah ke atas di bawah layar. Selanjutnya, lakukan beberapa langkah berikut. 
1. Pilih Gmail. 
2. Pilih setup akun Gmail baru jika Anda belum punya akun di sini dan ikuti petunjuk yang muncul di layar. 
3. Jika Anda sudah punya akun Gmail, pilih sign in. 
4. Jika Anda sudah sign in, akun Gmail Anda siap digunakan dan Anda bisa mengirim dan menerima email melalui perangkat ini. 

Setup Microsoft Exchange Anda bisa setup aplikasi Microsoft Exchange untuk email Anda dengan menggunakan setup manager saat baru menggunakan Desire. Untuk melakukannya, ikuti beberapa langkah berikut: 
• Pilih opsi Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync. 
• Masukkan alamat email dan password Anda, atau pilih setup email secara manual. Jika Anda menggunakan layanan email dari domain ternama, Desire akan mendeteksi setting email Anda (seperti domain dan alamat server) secara otomatis. Jika tidak, Anda harus mengentri detilnya secara manual, beserta nama user dan password Anda. Klik SSL Connection jika server Anda perlu mengoperasikannya. Selanjutnya Anda akan dibawa ke halaman summary, di mana Anda bisa mengganti nama kotak pesan masuk (mail box) dan masukkan nama Anda sehingga nama Anda tertampilkan saat Anda mengirim atau menerima email. 

Jika Anda melakukan setup Exchange untuk akun email tanpa menggunakan set-up manager, ikuti beberapa langkah berikut: 
1. Tekan tombol menu di bawah layar. 
2. Pilih Accounts & sync. 
3. Pilih add account dan selanjutnya Exchange ActiveSync. 
4. Masukkan alamat email dan password Anda. 
5. Jika Anda menggunakan domain terkemuka, Desire akan mendeteksi setting email Anda secara otomatis. Jika tidak, Anda akan diminta memasukkan detil setting secara manual. 
6. Selanjutnya Anda akan di bawa ke layar summary di mana Anda bisa mengganti nama kotak sehingga nama tersebut akan terdisplay saat Anda mengirim atau menerima email. 
Setup email lainnya 

Untuk set email, misalnya Hotmail atau Yahoo, pilih Other mail jika Anda melakukan setting melalui setup manager. Masukkan alamat email dan password dan jika benar, layar setting akan muncul, merinci nama akun dan nama Anda. Klik next dan proses setup email Anda sudah selesai. 
1. Ketuk Mail shortcut di layar home pertama 
2. Pilih Other (POP3/IMAP) 
3. Masukkan alamat email dan password 
4. Selanjutnya Anda akan dibawa ke halaman summary, yang akan menunjukkan protocol yang Anda gunakan untuk berkoneksi, alamat email, nama user, password, server, jenis pengamanan dan port server. Klik dan informasi akun Anda akan diverifikasi. 
5. Anda akan dibawa ke halaman ringkasan di mana Anda dapat mengganti nama kotak pesan masuk yang akan ditampilkan saat Anda mengirim atau menerima email.

Membuat Custom CD/DVD Instalasi Windows XP

Setelah beberapa hari ini Dunia Komputer membahas tentang jaringan, saya selingi dulu dengan topik yang berbeda. Bagi teman-teman yang masih ingin mengetahui tentang jaringan lebih jauh, nanti saya post lagi tentang jaringan. Artikel ini saya buat karena ada teman Dunia Komputer di Facebook yang sempat menanyakan ini. Dan dia juga sudah lama menunggu tutorial ini. Sebetulnya yang ditanyakan adalah bagaimana cara membuat bootable CD Setup Windows XP. Sedangkan yang dia punya adalah file hasil copy dari CD. Jika file tersebut di copy begitu saja ke CD untuk melakukan instalasi Windows XP, maka CD tersebut tidak akan bisa dipakai untuk boot.
CD instalasi Windows XP yang akan kita buat ini juga bersifat Unattended Setup. Apa itu Unattended Setup? Mungkin banyak dari Anda yang belum paham atau mendengar istalh ini. Secara sederhana saya bisa katakan dengan CD Unattended Setup Windows XP Anda tidak perlu menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang muncul pada saat melakukan installasi Windows XP. Jawaban dari pertanyaan-pertanyaan tersebut akan kita sediakan pada saat proses pembuatan CD Bootable Windows XP yang akan kita lakukan. Mungkin Anda yang pernah membaca dan telah mempraktekkan tutorial saya tentang Install Windows XP dari Flashdisk sudah mengetahuinya.
Selain itu, dengan cara membuat CD/DVD Instalasi Windows XP ini, Anda juga bisa memasukkan Service Pack (SP); update dan hotfix; Driver hardware seperti driver motherboard, VGA, dll; ke instalasi Windows XP. Jadi dengan cara ini Anda bisa membuat CD/DVD Instalasi Windows XP yang terintegrasi dengan update, hotfix, driver dan sedikit tweak. Selain itu, dalam proses instalasi windows XP tersebut Anda tidak usah lagi menungguinya untuk memjawab semua pertanyaan yang muncul.
Untuk membuat CD/DVD Instalasi Windows XP yang terintegrasi dengan driver, hotfix dan update ini, Anda memerlukans ebuah software bernama NLite. Anda bisa mendownload Nlite melalui link yang saya sediakan di akhir artikel.
Langsung saja kita simak cara membuat custom CD/DVD Instalasi Windows XP. Saya anggap Anda sudah mendownload NLite dan telah menginstalnya. Berikut langkah-langkahnya:

1. Ynag pertama Anda lakukan adalah mengcopy CD instalasi Windows XP Anda ke harddrive. Jika Anda sudah mempunyai sebuah copy di harddrive lewati langkah ini. Jika belum, masukkan CD Instalasi Windows XP, kemudian Copy dan Paste isi CD tersebut ke sebuah folder. Misalkan kita namai folder tersebut dengan “Window XP Setup”.
2. Jika sudah, jalankan NLite. Pada jendela wizard pertama NLite klik Next.
3. Pada jendela selanjutnya, Anda diminta menentukan lokasi setup Windows XP. Untuk itu klik tombol Browse dan cari folder tempat menyimpan istalasi Windows XP tadi yaitu folder “Windows XP Setup”. Kemudian NLite akan melakukan scanning untuk mengetahui versi Windows XP tersebut. Setelah itu, klik Next untuk melanjutkan.

4. Kemudian akan muncul jendela import session. Jendela ini berfungsi untuk meload session yang pernah Anda buat. Tapi karena Anda baru pertama kali melakukan ini, lewati saja dengan mengklik Next.
5. Di jendela selanjutnya, Anda diminta untuk menetukan apa saja yang ingin Anda integrasikan ke CD Setup nanti. Klik pada setiap tombol yang Anda ingin integrasikan. Tobol-tombol tersebut adalah:
   • Service Pack – Untuk mengintegrasikan Service Pack
   • Hotfixes, Addons, and Update Packs – Untuk mengintegrasikan hofix, addon atau update
   • Drivers – Untuk mengintegrasikan driver.
   • Components – Untuk menghapus kompenen windows, seperti MS. Paint, Wordpad, Driver Bawaan Windows, dll
   • Unattended – Untuk mengintegrasikan unattended setup yaitu jawaban dari pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang muncul saat setup Windows XP.
   • Options – Merubah setting Windows, seperti folder default dari instalasi, dokument, atau folder temporari, dll.
   • Tweaks – Untuk melakukan sedikit tweak terhadap windows, seperti menentukan icon-icon yang muncul pada desktop, tweak terhadap start mune, tweak terhadap explorer, dll
   • Bootable ISO – Pilih options ini jika Anda menginginkan hasil dari proses ini berbetuk file iso.
6. Untuk tutorial ini saya akan mengintegrasikan beberapa opsi, yaitu: Service Pack(SP3), HotFix, Drivers, Unattended, Bootable ISO. Anda juga boleh memilih opsi yang lain sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Namun ingat ,kesalahan sedikit menyebabkan hasil Instalasi Windows tidak stabil (terutama kesalahan pada tweaks). Klik Next untuk melanjutkan.

7. Sekarang, Anda diminta menentukan lokasi Service Pack. Klik tombol Select dan pilih service Pack. Selanjutnya klik Next.

8. Selanjutnya integrasikan HotFix, untuk itu klik Insert dan pilih HotFix yang ingin diintegrasikan. Klik lagi tombol insert untuk memasukkan hotfix yang lain. Jika sudah klik Next.

9. Pada jendela selanjutnya masukkan diver yang ingin Anda sertakan. Misalkan driver motherboard atau VGA. Untuk itu klik Insert dan pilih multiple drivers jika driver Anda terdiri dari beberapa file dan folder.
   Pada dialog yang muncul pilih folder driver.
   
   Pada dilaog selanjutnya, pilih driver yang dintegrasikan ke installer Windows XP. Jika Anda tidak yakin, klik tombol All dan klik OK. Ulangi lagi jika ingin memasukkan driver yang lain. Kemudian klik Next.
   
10. Selanjutnya Anda masuk pada opsi unattended. Tugas Anda adalah memasukkan, jawaban atas pertanyaan yang akan muncul pada setup windows XP. Pertanyaan yang muncul biasanya adalah CD key, User, dan Regional. Untuk itu kita hanya akan mengisi input-input tersebut saja. Yang lainnya bisa Anda isi dan bisa juga tidak.
11. Pada tab General, masukkan product key pada iput yang tersedia. Pilih juga mode unattended. Disini saya akan memilih mode Hide Pages. Karena saya tidak akan menunggui setup. Namun, jawaban harus tepat semua.

12. Kemudian klik Tab User. Pada tab ini, tambahkan seorang user dengan mengklik tombol Add. Masukkan username pada input user. Misal My PC Spot. Berikan hak user apakah Administrator atau user biasa. Anda juga bisa memberikan password pada masing-masing user.

13. Selanjutnya klik tab Regional. Pilih bahasa yang Anda gunakan melalui pilihan Language. Tentukan pula Localization, Location dan Time Zone. Untuk keyboard biarkan saja US.

14. Saya rasa itu saja yang input yang harus dilengkapi. Selanjutnya klik Next.
15. Selanjutnya akan muncul sebuah dialog yang menanyakan apakah Anda ingin memulai proses? Klik Yes untuk memulai proses integrasi hal-hal yang telah Anda lakukan tadi. Proses ini bisa memakan waktu yang cukup lama, jika banyak driver dan hotfix yang integrasikan. Jika proses telah selesai, Anda dapat melihat ukuran file hasil integrasi Anda. Jika ukuran file tersebut lebih dari 1 CD, maka gunakanlah sebuah DVD. Klik tombol Next untuk melanjutkan.

16. Pada halaman berikutnya, Anda bisa langsung mem-burning hasil tadi ke CD/DVD atau membuat file ISO. Jika Anda ingin langsung membuat CD/DVD bootable Windows XP tadi, masukkan CD/DVD blank Anda ke drive burner Anda dan pilih direct Burn pada opsi Mode. Untuk memulai malukan proses burn klik tombol Burn. Jika Anda ingin membuat file ISO, pilih Create Image pada opsi Mode dan klik Make ISO. Anda akan diminat untuk menentukan lokasi dan nama file ISO. Tunggu hingga proses selesai.

17. Jika proses telah selesai, klik Next. Pada jendela berikutnya klik Finish.

Kini proses pembuatan custom CD/DVD Instalasi Windows XP telah selesai. Anda bisa menggunakan CD/DVD Instalasi tersebut untuk melakukan instalasi Windows XP.

untuk langkah-langkahnya :

1. Buka my network place atau jika di icon tray terdapat icon dua komputer yg berkedip-kedip klik saja 2x (dua kali)
2. klik properties 






3. klik 2x (dua kali) internet protocol (TCP/IP)

          kesimpulan dari gambar diatas adalah :

        >  IP Address yang dipergunakan adalah IP Addreess static

        >  IP Addreess yang terlihat dengan IP Addreess untuk komputer yang sedang digunakan

        >  Gateway yang terlihat kemungkinan adalah alamat proxy, bisa juga alamat router warnet tersebut

dari info diatas sekarang kita gunakan logika, IP 192.168.139.7 kemungkinan besar adalah IP untuk komputer ke 7(komputer no 7) jika di warnet tersebut mengoperasikan 20 komputer dan plus 1 komputer untuk billing berarti konfigurasi IP nya adalah 192.168.139.1 – 192.168.139.21 dan kemungkinan besar IP billing adalah yang terkecil 192.168.139.1 atau malah yang terbesar 192.168.139.21. ok langkah selanjutnya

    4.   Bentrokkan IPnya klik tombol Advanced

    5.   klik tombol add dibawah IP Addresses

    6. Isi IP Address nya dengan 192.168.139.2 dan subnet mask nya dengan 255.255.255.0 (subnet mask tidak boleh dibentrokkan karena akan mematikan koneksi internet anda)

   7. klik tombol add  jika sudah ulangi lagi langkah ke 5 dan isi dengan IP 192.168.139.3, ups jangan terlalu bernafsu jika anda tidak ingin operator warnet curiga jangan semua IP di bentrokkin dan jangan juga IP yang anda gunakan di bentrokkin itu sama saja d*d*l   he he

Google Nexus One
The Android OS is of course backed up by search giant Google. It is therefore not surprising for Google to release its own line of smartphones. Sony Ericsson Xperia X10
The Xperia X10 is the first Android unit for Sony Ericsson. It also runs on a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor but is limited to 384 MB of RAM. It has a generous microSD memory of 8 GB, upgradeable to 16 GB. True to form with regards to Sony Ericsson’s adherence to developing camera phones, what excels for the Xperia X10 is its 8.1 megapixel camera with flash and video light. Even more, Sony Ericsson’s smile detection technology allows you to setup the Xperia to automatically snap a picture when your subjects smile.
Motorola Backflip
Known for their innovative design, Motorola again came up with a device that would have consumers flipping over in delight. The Motorola Backflip was released for the AT&T network and is the only unit with a full QWERTY keypad on the reverse side of the screen when the device is folded. Loaded with a 5 megapixel camera, the Backflip presents a unique option for consumers. One downside to the Backflip is that AT&T has blocked non-market apps, which is perceived to be a move that would undermine the expandability of what the phone can do. Preinstalled in the device is Motorola’s MOTOBLUR which integrates a person’s updates and messages from various social networking sites into a single streaming feed.
HTC Desire,  Legend and Droid Incredible
Taiwan’s HTC is arguably the leading manufacturer of mobile devices geared towards the Android operating system. For 2010, HTC already released the Desire, Legend and the Droid Incredible. HTC Legend works on a 600 MHz processor and 384 MB of RAM, which are lower specs compared to the Desire and the Droid Incredible. The Desire has a slightly larger touch screen at 3.7″. The Droid Incredible boasts of an 8 megapixel camera.
More smartphones are expected to be released in the last two quarters of 2010. As people eagerly await the release of the next generation of iPhones from Apple, Android-based devices are already in the pipeline with such HTC phones as the EVO 4G to be released by June 2010 and the HTC Wildfire set to be out in the market by the 3rd quarter of the year. Upload To Flickr From Android Phone

Do you find uploading photos to your Flickr profile cumbersome? Do you want a better, faster and easier method of uploading photos to share with your friends and family? Flickr launched the app a few weeks ago, which is available for download. The app works only with mobile phones based on Android 2.2 platform. Users can easily download the free app by going to m.flickr.com from their Android 2.2 based mobile device.
So, here is how it works. As soon as you  log on to Flickr from your mobile phone, you’ll see a download link right on the homepage. Smartphones Have a Mobile Operating System
You can think of a smartphone like a miniature computer that can also place and receive calls. Though there lacks an industry-standard definition of a smartphone, the simplest way to tell a cell phone apart from a smartphone is to determine whether or not the device has a mobile operating system.
A mobile operating system is much like what’s powering your personal computer at home or at work. In the mobile world, though, the software goes by different names. While cell phones don’t have operating systems at all, smartphones can be powered by:

2. iPhone OS
3. Google’s Android
4. Symbian OS
5. RIM’s BlackBerry
6. Palm’s WebOS
7. Linux

Cell Phone Settings to Save Battery Life

Here are a few tricks to maximize your cell phone battery life.

1. Turn off your cell phone during the night while you sleep. It will reserve some battery power for you, but if you have emergency calls at night, this might not be applicable.
2. Set your network mode correctly. If you have a 3G cell phone, you have three options: Dual mode, UMTS and GSM (depending on the cell phone you have), if you are using 3G or 2G, select the mode accordingly, never select dual mode. Because every time you turn of your cell phone or lost signal, it has to search for the network and this process consumes battery power a lot.
3. Disable vibration, keypad sound and backlight. While some prefer vibration and need backlight to read, but these features requires much battery power to work, if your disable them, your battery will surely last longer.

Display extra text in call costs feature
If your network operator doesn’t offer a call costs service, you can still make use of that function to display some personalized text on the screen of your 8110i. Go to Menu, [5], [7], [1], enter PIN2-code and choose Set. Then type in the limit of the currency units you’re using (if the call cost service worked, you would have to type the cost limit of the calls) and choose OK. In this case I typed 8110. Then go to the next sub menu (Menu, [5], [7], [2]), the Show costs in menu. Type in the PIN2 code again and select Currency. Type in the unit price, in this case number 1. Then type the name of the currency – you can use any string of letters and numbers 1-3 characters long. then type 2 letter then to confirm type two names beginning with one of each of the letters. Quick saving while in call
Saving numbers to memory during a call If you type a number into your phone during a call, you will lose it when the call ends. To prevent this happening just hold down Memory button — the number will be saved (with no name) to the next available memory location.
Deleting SMS messages quickly
When reading an SMS message, instead of pressing Option, Erase to delete the message, simply press [C].
Turning lights on temporarily
If you have display lights turned off, you can turn them on by quickly pressing and releasing the power button. They will stay on as long as you are pressing button.
Silent mode temporarily
You can put your phone into silent ringing mode temporarily by pressing Menu then [#].
Closing the cover without ending a call
If you press the menu key and then close the sliding cover during a call you will not end your call.
